In November 2014 Sothebys in New York held the auction Mexico Contemporary, which included the work Sombreros Colectivos (Collective Hats) by Pedro Reyes. The result of USD 15,000.00 (€ 12,059.82) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 18,000.00. Other works by Pedro Reyes have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in March 2021 the work Guitarra was auctioned for USD 20,160.00 (€ 17,167.67).
