Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December 2008 Christies in London held the auction Children's & Illustrated Books & Original Illustrations, which included the work The "Dough-Dough" by Percy Hutton Fearon. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 600.00 (€ 630.17), 20% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Percy Hutton Fearon - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work ‘Rolling Paper Skills Much More Fun Than Moulding Budgets’, which sold at auction in March 2018 for GBP 2,000.00 (€ 2,277.11).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion Children's & Illustrated Books & Original Illustrations durch, in der auch die Arbeit The "Dough-Dough" von Percy Hutton Fearon zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 600,00 (€ 630,17) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Percy Hutton Fearon mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ‘Rolling Paper Skills Much More Fun Than Moulding Budgets’ beobachtet, die im März 2018 für GBP 2.000,00 (€ 2.277,11) versteigert wurde.
