Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Red Alert by Peter Biegel was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in September 2020. Here, the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 7,560.00 (€ 6,451.61). Admittedly, works by Peter Biegel have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The water, Aintree, 1964 in June 2002 with an auction result of GBP 28,200.00 (€ 43,619.01).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Red Alert von Peter Biegel kam im September 2020 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 7.560,00 (€ 6.451,61) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Peter Biegel auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The water, Aintree, 1964 im Juni 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 28.200,00 (€ 43.619,01).
