Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work The Killing Kildares by Peter Biegel for USD 2,520.00 (€ 2,150.54). This price was achieved in the auction The Collection of Mr. and Mrs. Bertram R. Firestone at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Peter Biegel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The water, Aintree, 1964 in June 2002 with an auction result of GBP 28,200.00 (€ 43,619.01).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2020 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Killing Kildares von Peter Biegel für USD 2.520,00 (€ 2.150,54) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Collection of Mr. and Mrs. Bertram R. Firestone bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Peter Biegel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The water, Aintree, 1964 im Juni 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 28.200,00 (€ 43.619,01).
