This artwork by Peter Fendi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in February 2012. In the 19th Century European Art auction, the work An abduction sold for GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,283.57) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Peter Fendi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sneaking A Peek in March 2005 with an auction result of GBP 43,360.00 (€ 63,149.33).

In der Auktion 19th Century European Art wurde die Arbeit An abduction für GBP 2.750,00 (€ 3.283,57) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Peter Fendi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sneaking A Peek im März 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 43.360,00 (€ 63.149,33).
