Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work Hunting with borzoi by Petr Sokolov for GBP 875.00 (€ 1,057.94). This price was achieved in the auction Russian Pictures, Icons & Works of Art at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Petr Sokolov achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Borki Train Disaster in November 2021 with an auction result of GBP 81,900.00 (€ 96,158.31).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2008 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Hunting with borzoi von Petr Sokolov für GBP 875,00 (€ 1.057,94) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Russian Pictures, Icons & Works of Art bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Petr Sokolov erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Borki Train Disaster im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 81.900,00 (€ 96.158,31).
