Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Philippe Berry achieved an unexpectedly high price at Artcurial in Paris in January 2008. In the Contemporary Art: Jean Albou Collection auction, the work Rhinoceros, 1997 sold for EUR 6,196.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Philippe Berry - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Pyramide Elephanto, 2008, which sold at auction in July 2011 for EUR 22,224.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Philippe Berry erzielte im Januar 2008 bei Artcurial in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art: Jean Albou Collection wurde die Arbeit Rhinoceros, 1997 für EUR 6.196,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Philippe Berry mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Pyramide Elephanto, 2008 beobachtet, die im Juli 2011 für EUR 22.224,00 versteigert wurde.
