A top price for Philippe Swyncop - as previously expected
In October 2014 Christies in London held the auction European Noble & Private Collections Including Fine Tapestries Part II, which included the work Poupées et une femme by Philippe Swyncop. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,468.99) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Poupées et une femme is the most expensive artwork by Philippe Swyncop that we have observed at auctions so far.
