Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bord de Loire, France by Pierre de Clausade was sold in the Christie's Interiors auction at Christies in London in August 2008. The price achieved of GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,550.04) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pierre de Clausade - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Les Peupliers, Loire, which sold at auction in January 2008 for GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,691.90).
