Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Dans le Bassin d'Arcachon by Pierre de Clausade was sold in the British and Continental Pictures auction at Christies in London in October 2002. It changed hands for a price of GBP 493.50 (€ 780.63) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Admittedly, works by Pierre de Clausade have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Les Peupliers, Loire in January 2008 with an auction result of GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,691.90).

Die Arbeit Dans le Bassin d'Arcachon von Pierre de Clausade wurde im Oktober 2002 in der Auktion British and Continental Pictures bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 493,50 (€ 780,63) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pierre de Clausade auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Les Peupliers, Loire im Januar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.500,00 (€ 4.691,90).
