Auction result well in line with expectations

The work Accolade No. 2 (The Embrace No. 2) by Pierre-Jules Mêne was auctioned at Christies in London in May 2021. The price achieved of GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,526.73) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Pierre-Jules Mêne have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work L'Accolade in May 2006 with an auction result of GBP 21,600.00 (€ 31,528.96).

Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Die Arbeit Accolade No. 2 (The Embrace No. 2) von Pierre-Jules Mêne kam im Mai 2021 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.526,73) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pierre-Jules Mêne auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit L'Accolade im Mai 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 21.600,00 (€ 31.528,96).
