Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
This work without title by Pilloo Pochkhanawala was worth INR 562,500.00 (€ 6,613.32) to a buyer in December 2013. This price was achieved in the auction South Asian Art at Christies in Mumbai and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of INR 150,000.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pilloo Pochkhanawala achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Atomic Couple in October 2021 with an auction result of GBP 277,200.00 (€ 328,407.13).
Kunstwerk zum Dreifachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Die Arbeit ohne Titel von Pilloo Pochkhanawala war einem Käufer im Dezember 2013 INR 562.500,00 (€ 6.613,32) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion South Asian Art bei Christies in Mumbai erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von INR 150.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pilloo Pochkhanawala erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Atomic Couple im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 277.200,00 (€ 328.407,13).
