The work Designer Ii by Prajakta Palav was sold in the Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2016. The »bidding war« ended at USD 12,500.00 (€ 10,974.54), 56% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Prajakta Palav - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 'A Rikshaw', which sold at auction in May 2008 for GBP 24,500.00 (€ 31,165.07).

Die Arbeit Designer Ii von Prajakta Palav wurde im März 2016 in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 12.500,00 (€ 10.974,54) und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Prajakta Palav mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 'A Rikshaw' beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für GBP 24.500,00 (€ 31.165,07) versteigert wurde.
