Auction result well in line with expectations

The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,055.00 (€ 3,457.06) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ramkinkar Baij achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Festive Eve in December 2013 with an auction result of INR 5,250,000.00 (€ 61,724.36).

Die Arbeit Kala Bhawan von Ramkinkar Baij wurde im September 2000 in der Auktion Indian and Southeast Asian including 20th Century bei Christies in New York versteigert.
