This artwork by Reggie Burrows Hodges achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in May last year. In the 21st Century Evening Sale auction, the work Intersection of Color: Experience sold for USD 705,600.00 (€ 657,534.25) - well above the upper estimate of USD 300,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Reggie Burrows Hodges; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot First Serve sold at auction in October last year with the realized price of GBP 591,200.00 (€ 688,741.45).
