Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Rex Whistler achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in September 2015. In the Out of the Ordinary auction, the work An Imagined World War I Battle Scene sold for GBP 4,375.00 (€ 5,924.79) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rex Whistler achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of Lady Caroline Paget in June 2017 with an auction result of GBP 68,750.00 (€ 78,293.42).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Rex Whistler erzielte im September 2015 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Out of the Ordinary wurde die Arbeit An Imagined World War I Battle Scene für GBP 4.375,00 (€ 5.924,79) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rex Whistler erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait Of Lady Caroline Paget im Juni 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 68.750,00 (€ 78.293,42).
