Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2013 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction SO Contemporary Asia (Hirsch), which included this untitled work by Ren Xiaolin. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 81,250.00 (€ 7,953.47) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Ren Xiaolin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Pagoda in the Mountain in November 2010 with an auction result of HKD 680,000.00 (€ 67,186.25).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2013 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion SO Contemporary Asia (Hirsch) durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Ren Xiaolin zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 81.250,00 (€ 7.953,47) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ren Xiaolin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Pagoda in the Mountain im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 680.000,00 (€ 67.186,25).
