This artwork by Renato Meziat achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Paris in October this year. In the The Collection of Ann & Gordon Getty: Wheatland Online auction, the work Two Pears and Two Sweet Limes sold for USD 22,680.00 (€ 21,461.01) - well above the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Renato Meziat; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The Flowers sold at auction in May 2017 with the realized price of USD 35,000.00 (€ 31,149.88).

Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Renato Meziat; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit The Flowers im Mai 2017 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 35.000,00 (€ 31.149,88).
