A top price for René Péan - as previously expected
In July 2001 Christies in London held the auction 19TH CENTURY EUROPEAN ART, which included the work The Pillow Fight by René Péan. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,880.00 (€ 3,061.44) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The Pillow Fight is the most expensive artwork by René Péan that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Juli 2001 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19TH CENTURY EUROPEAN ART durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Pillow Fight von René Péan zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.880,00 (€ 3.061,44) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist The Pillow Fight das teuerste Kunstwerk von René Péan, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
