Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The wounded hound by Richard Ansdell was sold in the An Opulent Aesthetic: An Important Private Collection from an English Country House auction at Christies in London in February this year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 300,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 302,400.00 (€ 344,927.67). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Richard Ansdell - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Wounded Hound, which sold at auction in November 2006 for GBP 478,400.00 (€ 710,438.97).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The wounded hound von Richard Ansdell wurde im Februar diesen Jahres in der Auktion An Opulent Aesthetic: An Important Private Collection from an English Country House bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 300.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 302.400,00 (€ 344.927,67) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Richard Ansdell mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Wounded Hound beobachtet, die im November 2006 für GBP 478.400,00 (€ 710.438,97) versteigert wurde.
