Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Veruschka, Dress by Kimberly, New York Studio, January, 1967 by Richard Avedon was sold in the Fashion Photo auction at Christies in New York in December 2019. The price achieved of USD 25,000.00 (€ 22,267.75) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Avedon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Beatles Portfolio: John Lennon, Ringo Starr, George Harrison and Paul McCartney, London in November last year with an auction result of GBP 809,000.00 (€ 937,446.28).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 22.267,75) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden.
