The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 26,400.00 (€ 38,849.39) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Richard Brydges Beechey have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2010 the work View Of Part Of Dublin Bay, From The Rocks Between Salthill And Seapoint Stations was auctioned for GBP 43,250.00 (€ 50,673.38).
