Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Performers by Richard Geiger was auctioned at Christies in London in October 2000. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 500.00 – 700.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 528.75 (€ 903.78) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Geiger achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Concerto nel bosco in December 2001 with an auction result of ITL 12,250,000.00 (€ 11,010.00).

Die Arbeit The Performers von Richard Geiger kam im Oktober 2000 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 528,75 (€ 903,78) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Richard Geiger erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Concerto nel bosco im Dezember 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von ITL 12.250.000,00 (€ 11.010,00).
