In February 2008 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British Art, which included the work Afternoon Beach, Sandbanks by Richard Price. The price achieved of GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,307.96) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Other works by Richard Price have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in December 2018 the work Sandbanks, Fisherman was auctioned for GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,088.92).

Im Februar 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Afternoon Beach, Sandbanks von Richard Price zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.000,00 (€ 1.307,96) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Richard Price konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Dezember 2018 die Arbeit Sandbanks, Fisherman für GBP 1.875,00 (€ 2.088,92) versteigert.
