Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2015 a collector was able to acquire the work The Calument Champions; Armer, Bewitch, Citation, Faultless and Coaltown at Belmont Park, 1948 by Richard Stone Reeves for USD 6,250.00 (€ 5,603.37). This price was achieved in the auction Interiors at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Richard Stone Reeves achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Northern Dancer in June 2015 with an auction result of USD 62,500.00 (€ 56,033.71).

Im Juni 2015 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Calument Champions; Armer, Bewitch, Citation, Faultless and Coaltown at Belmont Park, 1948 von Richard Stone Reeves für USD 6.250,00 (€ 5.603,37) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Interiors bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Richard Stone Reeves erzielen.
