This artwork by Rie Cramer achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in February 2004. In the PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS auction, the work A woman and a child bowing; Making a basket and Looking at the ceiling - book illustrations sold for EUR 1,434.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 800.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Rie Cramer; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Pierrot En Pierrette sold at auction in May 2006 with the realized price of EUR 1,440.00.

Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Rie Cramer; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Pierrot En Pierrette im Mai 2006 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 1.440,00.
