A top price for Robert Carver - as previously expected
In May 2007 Christies in London held the auction The Irish Sale, which included the work A Classical Landscape with Ruins and Figures in the Foreground by Robert Carver. The price achieved of GBP 216,000.00 (€ 317,858.62) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 150,000.00 – 250,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, A Classical Landscape with Ruins and Figures in the Foreground is the most expensive artwork by Robert Carver that we have observed at auctions so far.
