This artwork by Robert Dickerson achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Sydney in November last year. In the Important Australian Art auction, the work The Advocate, 1990 sold for AUD 11,070.00 (€ 7,203.06) - well above the upper estimate of AUD 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Dickerson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Swimmers at the River, 2000 in November 2020 with an auction result of AUD 86,100.00 (€ 72,062.27).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 85 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Robert Dickerson erzielte im November letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Sydney einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Important Australian Art wurde die Arbeit The Advocate, 1990 für AUD 11.070,00 (€ 7.203,06) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von AUD 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Dickerson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Swimmers at the River, 2000 im November 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 86.100,00 (€ 72.062,27).
