This artwork by Robert Hills achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in April 2013. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work Stags And Hinds In A Park By A River sold for GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,130.20) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Robert Hills; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot A Herd of Deer Resting In A Glade sold at auction in November 2006 with the realized price of GBP 3,600.00 (€ 5,346.11).
