The work Publicon--Station Iii (Gemini 816) by Robert Rauschenberg was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Art auction at Christies in Amsterdam in April 2016. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 10,625.00 52% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Rauschenberg achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Buffalo Ii in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 88,805,000.00 (€ 79,652,883.67).

Die Arbeit Publicon--Station Iii (Gemini 816) von Robert Rauschenberg wurde im April 2016 in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 10.625,00 und damit 52% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Rauschenberg erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Buffalo Ii im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 88.805.000,00 (€ 79.652.883,67).
