Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Robert Riger could be acquired at Christies in New York in December 2004 for an unexpectedly low price. In the THE HOUSE SALEALL LOTS OFFERED WITHOUT RESERVE auction, the work The Best Football Game Ever Played; and five other prints changed hands for USD 298.75 (€ 220.68) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 300.00 – 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Riger achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Green Bay Packers, Forrest Gregg; Johnny Unitas, Green Bay Packers Tackle; and Green Bay Bench 3 in April 2021 with an auction result of USD 10,837.50 (€ 9,008.73).
