This artwork by Robert Stone achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in December 2002. In the THE EUROPEAN NOBLE HOUSE SALE auction, the work The meet sold for EUR 7,170.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 3,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Robert Stone; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The Meet; Over the Fence; Full Cry and the Death sold at auction in October 2005 with the realized price of USD 15,600.00 (€ 13,005.42).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Robert Stone erzielte im Dezember 2002 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion THE EUROPEAN NOBLE HOUSE SALE wurde die Arbeit The meet für EUR 7.170,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 3.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Robert Stone; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit The Meet; Over the Fence; Full Cry and the Death im Oktober 2005 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 15.600,00 (€ 13.005,42).
