Sold at the lower estimate price
In May this year Il Ponte held the auction Modern and Contemporary Art, which included this untitled work by Roberto Matta. The result of EUR 1,500.00 was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Roberto Matta achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le Pendu (The Hanged Man) in December 2011 with an auction result of EUR 1,800,750.00.
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Il Ponte die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Roberto Matta zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 1.500,00 entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Roberto Matta erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le Pendu (The Hanged Man) im Dezember 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 1.800.750,00.
