Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Tail Dragger by Ron Nagle was auctioned at Phillips in London in October 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 12,000.00 – 16,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 14,096.14) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ron Nagle - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Criminal Negligee, 2012, which sold at auction in November 2021 for EUR 47,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Tail Dragger von Ron Nagle kam im Oktober 2018 bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 12.000,00 – 16.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 14.096,14) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Ron Nagle mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Criminal Negligee, 2012 beobachtet, die im November 2021 für EUR 47.500,00 versteigert wurde.
