The work Landscape after Huang Gongwang by Rong Geng was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in December this year. It achieved a price of HKD 25,200.00 (€ 2,915.93), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 26%. Admittedly, works by Rong Geng have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Scholar Fishing in May 2017 with an auction result of HKD 141,600.00 (€ 16,168.81).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 26 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Landscape after Huang Gongwang von Rong Geng kam im Dezember diesen Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 25.200,00 (€ 2.915,93) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 26%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Rong Geng auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Scholar Fishing im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 141.600,00 (€ 16.168,81).
