The work The Shell X100 By-Plane by Frederick Rowland Emett was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2006. The price achieved of GBP 12,000.00 (€ 17,820.38) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The Shell X100 By-Plane is the most expensive artwork by Frederick Rowland Emett that we have observed at auctions so far.
