Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Rubens Gerchman was auctioned at Christies in New York in November 2012. The price achieved of USD 11,875.00 (€ 9,127.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Rubens Gerchman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Virgem dos labios de mel in June 2000 with an auction result of USD 41,125.00 (€ 43,085.39).

Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Rubens Gerchman kam im November 2012 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 11.875,00 (€ 9.127,59) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Rubens Gerchman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Virgem dos labios de mel im Juni 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 41.125,00 (€ 43.085,39).
