Auction result well in line with expectations
The work BALINESE ACTOR AS ARJUNA BERTAPA by Rudolf Bonnet was sold in the Asian 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Evening Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 1,200,000.00 – 1,500,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 1,250,000.00 (€ 152,320.85) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Rudolf Bonnet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Market Scene in November 2015 with an auction result of HKD 25,880,000.00 (€ 3,160,878.62).

Die Arbeit BALINESE ACTOR AS ARJUNA BERTAPA von Rudolf Bonnet wurde im November 2016 in der Auktion Asian 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Evening Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 1.200.000,00 – 1.500.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 1.250.000,00 (€ 152.320,85) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Rudolf Bonnet erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Market Scene im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 25.880.000,00 (€ 3.160.878,62).
