A top price for Rudolf Hellgrewe - as previously expected
The work Germancrossing The Wadi by Rudolf Hellgrewe was sold in the The Orientalist Sale auction at Sothebys in London in April 2018. The auction ended at the price of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 17,083.40), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Germancrossing The Wadi is the most expensive artwork by Rudolf Hellgrewe that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Germancrossing The Wadi von Rudolf Hellgrewe wurde im April 2018 in der Auktion The Orientalist Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 17.083,40) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Germancrossing The Wadi das teuerste Kunstwerk von Rudolf Hellgrewe, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
