Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Rudolf Weisse achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in April 2014. In the The Orientalist Sale auction, the work Bohemian The Palace Guard sold for GBP 146,500.00 (€ 178,324.41) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 70,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Rudolf Weisse - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bohemian a Moment Of Prayer, which sold at auction in April 2013 for GBP 422,500.00 (€ 498,574.38).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Rudolf Weisse erzielte im April 2014 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Orientalist Sale wurde die Arbeit Bohemian The Palace Guard für GBP 146.500,00 (€ 178.324,41) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 70.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Rudolf Weisse mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Bohemian a Moment Of Prayer beobachtet, die im April 2013 für GBP 422.500,00 (€ 498.574,38) versteigert wurde.
