Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Wonder, 2010 by Ruud van Empel was sold in the Photographs Online auction at Sothebys in London in September 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 35,000.00 (€ 39,309.50) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ruud van Empel - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Boy & Girl, which sold at auction in May 2015 for GBP 80,500.00 (€ 111,926.78).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Wonder, 2010 von Ruud van Empel wurde im September 2018 in der Auktion Photographs Online bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 35.000,00 (€ 39.309,50) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Ruud van Empel mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Boy & Girl beobachtet, die im Mai 2015 für GBP 80.500,00 (€ 111.926,78) versteigert wurde.
