Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2021 Bonhams in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Prairie (Pond); by Ryan McGinley. The price achieved of USD 6,120.00 (€ 5,297.78) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ryan McGinley have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Alex (Giant Explosion) in November 2012 with an auction result of USD 37,500.00 (€ 28,823.98).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2021 führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Prairie (Pond); von Ryan McGinley zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.120,00 (€ 5.297,78) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ryan McGinley auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Alex (Giant Explosion) im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 37.500,00 (€ 28.823,98).
