Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Tree Worshippers by S. G. Vasudev was sold in the South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art Including Works from the Collection of Mahinder and Sharad Tak auction at Christies in New York in March last year. The price achieved of USD 1,890.00 (€ 1,703.78) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Admittedly, works by S. G. Vasudev have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work She And Mountains in July 2007 with an auction result of USD 20,400.00 (€ 14,878.56).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Tree Worshippers von S. G. Vasudev wurde im März letzten Jahres in der Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art Including Works from the Collection of Mahinder and Sharad Tak bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.890,00 (€ 1.703,78) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von S. G. Vasudev auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit She And Mountains im Juli 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 20.400,00 (€ 14.878,56).
