In May 2014 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale), which included the work Unknown by S. Sudjojono. The auction ended at the price of HKD 400,000.00 (€ 37,829.91), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 300,000.00 – 400,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by S. Sudjojono achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pasukan Kita Yang Dipimpin Pangeran Diponegoro (Our Soldiers Led Under Prince Diponegoro) in April 2014 with an auction result of HKD 58,360,000.00 (€ 5,427,858.69).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Mai 2014 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Unknown von S. Sudjojono zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 400.000,00 (€ 37.829,91) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 300.000,00 – 400.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von S. Sudjojono erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pasukan Kita Yang Dipimpin Pangeran Diponegoro (Our Soldiers Led Under Prince Diponegoro) im April 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 58.360.000,00 (€ 5.427.858,69).
