This artwork by Sabine Weiss achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in February this year. In the Home & Interiors auction, the work Serge Poliakoff. Charles Pillet. Alberto Magnelli. (3 photographies) sold for EUR 892.50 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sabine Weiss achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portugal, 1954 in November 2006 with an auction result of EUR 9,866.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 79 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Sabine Weiss erzielte im Februar diesen Jahres bei Bonhams einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Home & Interiors wurde die Arbeit Serge Poliakoff. Charles Pillet. Alberto Magnelli. (3 photographies) für EUR 892,50 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sabine Weiss erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portugal, 1954 im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 9.866,00.
