Auction result misses estimated price range
In July last year a collector was able to acquire the work Old house in Rouen by Samuel Prout for GBP 900.00 (€ 1,074.76). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master and British Works on Paper: Drawings, Watercolours and Prints 1500-1900 at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Samuel Prout have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Arch of St Mark'S, Venice, With Figures In Oriental Costume In The Foreground; And The Arch of Constantine, Rome in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 7,200.00 (€ 10,684.44).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Old house in Rouen von Samuel Prout für GBP 900,00 (€ 1.074,76) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Old Master and British Works on Paper: Drawings, Watercolours and Prints 1500-1900 bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00.
