The work At the well by Samuel Prout was auctioned at Christies in London in April 2008. It achieved a price of GBP 687.50 (€ 876.47), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 72%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Samuel Prout achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Arch of St Mark'S, Venice, With Figures In Oriental Costume In The Foreground; And The Arch of Constantine, Rome in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 7,200.00 (€ 10,684.44).

Die Arbeit At the well von Samuel Prout kam im April 2008 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 687,50 (€ 876,47) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 72%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Samuel Prout erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Arch of St Mark'S, Venice, With Figures In Oriental Costume In The Foreground; And The Arch of Constantine, Rome im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.200,00 (€ 10.684,44).
