Auction result well in line with expectations
In January this year Christies in New York held the auction From Peale to Peto: American Masters from the Pollack Collection, which included the work Ornate Table Top Still Life with Summer Fruits and Bird's Nest by Severin Roesen. The price achieved of USD 12,600.00 (€ 11,604.35) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Severin Roesen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Still Life With Fruit In A Landscape in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 769,000.00 (€ 494,215.94).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar diesen Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion From Peale to Peto: American Masters from the Pollack Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ornate Table Top Still Life with Summer Fruits and Bird's Nest von Severin Roesen zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 12.600,00 (€ 11.604,35) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Severin Roesen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Still Life With Fruit In A Landscape im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 769.000,00 (€ 494.215,94).
