Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2014 Sothebys in London held the auction The Orientalist Sale, which included the work Turkish Hagia Sophia, Istanbul by Sevket Dag. The price achieved of GBP 86,500.00 (€ 105,290.52) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 70,000.00 – 100,000.00. Other works by Sevket Dag have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in April 2016 the work Turkish the Imperial Gate, Hagia Sophia was auctioned for GBP 137,000.00 (€ 175,126.74).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2014 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion The Orientalist Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Turkish Hagia Sophia, Istanbul von Sevket Dag zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 86.500,00 (€ 105.290,52) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 70.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Sevket Dag konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im April 2016 die Arbeit Turkish the Imperial Gate, Hagia Sophia für GBP 137.000,00 (€ 175.126,74) versteigert.
