A top price for Sevket Dag - as previously expected
The work Turkish the Imperial Gate, Hagia Sophia by Sevket Dag was auctioned at Sothebys in London in April 2016. The price achieved of GBP 137,000.00 (€ 175,126.74) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Turkish the Imperial Gate, Hagia Sophia is the most expensive artwork by Sevket Dag that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Turkish the Imperial Gate, Hagia Sophia von Sevket Dag kam im April 2016 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 137.000,00 (€ 175.126,74) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 120.000,00 – 180.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Turkish the Imperial Gate, Hagia Sophia das teuerste Kunstwerk von Sevket Dag, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
